in this crazy world ~

in the middle of a very big city, surrounded by a concrete jungle

one panda was walking home ~ she got off the BTS and walk right back into her condo. she went into the elevator ~ pressed the button marked "24" and hold the door for 3 more people. each one pressed their floor and smile politely.then walked into their own corner, staring at the ground ~ creating the awkward silence in the normal elevator ride.

that's the way life is in a big city. u can live in a condo for five years and know less than 5 people [including the officers] in that building. u'll know the face but u'll never get acquainted with them.

but when that panda reached her door, she noticed something ~ some white-paper thingie on the floor. a white envelope.

after turned on the lights and locked all the 3 locks on the door that made her father feels safe enought to let his daughter lives out of sight, she opened the envelope and found this ...

it's a namecard, marked with the number of the room on her floor. what can it be? the pestimisc side starts to do its job. did someone scratch my door and leave his card for me?

when she flips the card, turns out that this is one heart-warming situation.

[i blurred the cell phone number for privacy reason]

he lives two doors away and i've never met him. stills, he's kind enough to offer me a lil' gift from his trip. i never claim that chocolate, but i did SMS him to say thanks.

i'm just blogging about this cuz it feels so nice. to know that in this big-concrete-city there's a lil' touch of kindness. something to reminds you of smalltown benevolence. to know that all the people u walk pass on the street ain't all mindless-robot.

it just feels so good ~

3 - I also love it when people show small town kindnesses. I once tried smiling at people i met on the street here in the city. And boy a lot of reactions were way funny. You would think i was nuts or attracted to someone just because i smiled. I miss that about provinces. I get to smile to strangers, say good morning, and just be plain courteous without anyone thinking i have another motive other than the morning is really good and i want to share it. (Comment this)

5 - chocolates are way overrated, but when they come from the heart, as a little chunk of unexpected memory...yeah. your experience made me a little less jaded with life.

anyway, please do visit when you have the time. ^_^ (Comment this)
